AIM: To (re)connect urban communities with their environment through active involvement in shaping the future development, maintenance and management of local ‘Greener Living Spaces’, created by Marks and Spencer and Groundwork over the last three years.
AIM: To develop a new model of voluntary action by focusing on the positive experience of the volunteer, connecting people who are looking to get fit with physical tasks that need to be done and which benefit the community.
The Conference took place on Thursday 9th December 2010 at the Wellcome Collection Conference Centre, London.
The aim of the conference was to explore the implications of recent changes within government for the development and delivery of sustainable development, and what this means for the research community’s activities and priorities.

The 2008 Annual SDRN Conference took place on Thursday 11th September at the RSA, London. Many thanks to all the SDRN members that helped to make this year's SDRN Annual Conference another great success. Over 150 SDRN members attended the event to listen to a host of speakers discussing sustainable development research and policy.
