This evidence review is being undertaken by researchers from Cardiff University and University of West of England, Bristol. The review is commissioned by the Government Office of Science’s Foresight Programme on the Future of Mobility.

The evidence review will identify what current academic literature and government, third sector and business reports and polls state about public attitudes, decision-making and behaviour in relation to transport. This will include:

The Natural Environmental Research Council (NERC) are seeking input from the community until 11:59 on 4 December 2017 to articulate the key knowledge gaps and evidence needs pertaining to a set of future environmental policy and practice challenges.

The UK Energy Research Centre has launched a £1.5 million Whole Systems Networking Fund. Funded by EPSRC, this scheme aims to improve the diversity, communications and collaboration between whole systems energy researchers and those engaged in more disciplinary focused areas of research.

The Fund will help develop best practice around networking, encouraging better representation of UK capacity in whole systems energy research, encourage fresh voices and foster new working relationships within the community.

#envecon2018: Call for Abstracts

The UK Network of Environmental Economists (UKNEE) is calling for abstracts for envecon 2018: Applied Environmental Economics Conference. The conference will take place on 9 March 2018 at The Royal Society in London and is the only such event in the UK that brings together over 200 environmental economists, policy makers and private and public-sector managers from the UK and rest of the world.  

BEIS invites UK experts to express their interest in serving on the Editorial Board of the Emission Factor Database (EFDB) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The deadline for applications is 20 December 2017.
