The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is inviting proposals for a project on modelling pension funds under climate change. The project will develop quantitative illustrations of the impact on UK pension scheme assets and liabilities of a small number of climate change scenarios. The aim is to help pensions actuaries assess the potential magnitude of climate change impacts and hence when climate change might be relevant to the funding advice they give. The closing date is 12 May 2017.

Making Futures will be held on 21 & 22 September 2017 at Plymouth College of Art. The call for abstracts is now open and the closing date for receipt is 22 May 2017. Making Futures is a research platform exploring contemporary craft and maker movements as ‘change agents’ within 21st century society. The aim is to examine and promote the possibilities for maker economies built around contemporary craft, neo-artisanal design-to-make and related creative micro-entrepreneurs and movements.

A Special Issue of the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation builds on the core themes and outcomes of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) seminar series, ‘Green Innovation: Making it Work’ (2015-17).
