Ensuring energy security is a central goal of energy policy in most countries. The UK is no exception.

This event will present the findings of our latest research into the how the increasingly rapid changes in the energy sector may impact future UK energy security.

Through the assessment of new energy scenarios, 'The Security of UK Energy Futures' considers how energy security in the UK could change up to 2050.

By using a 'dashboard' of energy security indicators that cover aspects such as reliability, availability, affordability and sustainability, the report explores how energy security may be impacted by a number of issues. Considerations include future economic and climate policy, technical capability and the roll-out of low carbon technologies, fuel prices, achievement of climate targets and our future relationship with the EU.
