Goal setting poses multiple objectives that are often in conflict. Participants in this major, two day, international conference will consider how to share ideas and methods that are often unknown outside their particular discipline, and how to intervene in multi-scale, transdisciplinary, complex problems. Presentations will be centred around a number of themes, including (but not limited to): scenarios, futures thinking and operational resilience; vision development, goal-setting and strategic planning; monitoring and evaluation against goals – constructive processes; mapping, modelling and decision support in goal setting; implementation of information technologies to support goal seeking; knowledge, big data and data analytic approaches. Keynote speakers will include Professor Peter Head CBE FREng FRSA and Professor Judi Marshall, University of Lancaster. More…
