2007 annual SDRN conference

The 2007 Annual SDRN Conference took place on Thursday 20th September at the RSA, London.

Over 150 SDRN members attended the event to listen to a host of speakers discussing sustainable development research and policy. The day began with an opening speech from Bill Scott, Defra's DG Strategy and Evidence and concluded with a lively panel discussion on 'Health and the Environment'. In addition to those attending the Conference, over 200 people listened to proceedings online, thanks to live audio streams via the SDRN website.

The SDRN Annual Sustainable Development Research Conference is the flagship event in the Sustainable Development Research Network calendar. As always, the 2007 Conference will provide a platform for the presentation and debate of new, cutting-edge sustainable development research, while also highlighting work taking place within SDRN’s new Research into Practice workstreams.

Between early 2005 and December 2006 and in conjunction with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, SDRN held a high profile series of evening lectures. Under the title 'Sustainable Development and Quality of Life', the lectures were intended to introduce innovative and challenging thinking from current research to a wider policy audience.
