This is a fixed term post for three years. You will be responsible for working full-time on a three year funded project on ‘Urban Technology Foresight’. The programme of research is funded by EPSRC, as part of the Re-Engineering the City 2020-2050 (RETROFIT 2050) Sustainable Urban Environment research programme, which brings together Cardiff University, Salford University, Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes University. The Urban Technology Foresight Work Package, which is based in the Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development (OISD) within the School of the Built Environment at Oxford Brookes University, will analyse and examine emerging and prospective technologies with the potential to underpin the long term transition to a sustainable urban future. Through interaction between scientific experts, practitioners and policy users, the research will identify and characterise prospective disruptive technologies and systems innovations, and provide long-term guiding visions and technology-based roadmaps for urban retrofitting.
Starting salary: £28,138 rising annually to £30,748
