We are seeking a Research Fellow to work with Dr Adrian Smith on ‘Community Innovations in Sustainable Energy’, funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
The project examines innovation and diffusion of small-scale sustainable energy projects amongst local communities in the UK. A survey, network analysis, case studies and scenarios will assess the innovative characteristics of community energy initiatives, diffusion strategies and success, relating findings to wider debates on innovation, socio-technical
transitions and sustainable development, drawing lessons for sustainability practitioners and policymakers. You must have (or be about to obtain), a PhD (or equivalent) and have a broad knowledge of current research on community energy for sustainability.
